The whole Aquamar Group Team was outstanding in helping us get our new home in Belize. Working with them over long distance, we were able to review several properties and isolate our top pick. By the time we were ready to travel to Placencia and review the houses, we were prepared to offer.
After 10 minutes at the property, we had found our dream home in Belize! The critical difference here is that our agents were even willing to eliminate some options that they felt were not up to our standards to ensure we got the home we really wanted. They’re willing to go the extra mile, and they even helped educate us as to the local area and culture. Couldn’t have done it without them!

We traveled to Belize in November of 2015 in search of a property to buy for a vacation home and also to retire to within about five years. We did a real estate tour at a development for five days and that is where we met Charmaine. We were looking for beachfront property and the development had no beachfront property to offer. We talked to Charmaine and she told us she would be happy to show us beachfront lots another time when we could come back to Belize. We thought that would be great and agreed to do that.
The day we were to leave to go home everyone was waiting around as we had a five-hour wait at the airport until our plane left. Charmaine suggested she show us properties because we had so much time until our flight. She agreed to do at the spur of the moment and drove us to view properties. Charmaine is an incredibly sweet person. She walked us through the buying process that was very different than buying a home in the United States. She helped us deal with the banks and an attorney that handled our escrow.
Charmaine was there to make sure everything went right. She was very professional and it was a pleasure having her as our real estate agent. She’s been extremely good to us and has become a good friend.
