Property Description

The Green Parrot is operated primarily as an accommodation destination for tourists visiting the southern region of Belize. Additional business activities include: dining service, bar service, gift shop services and tour services. The Hotel License (annual renewal required) is current and up to date.

The property is unique in its design and location. There are a total of 8 housing units (2 thatched roof cabanas and 6 two story beach houses). There is a 2 bedroom owners unit. The property has a treated water supply, electricity, septic systems, water storage system, backup generator, manager’s housing, staff /laundry house, garage, storage facility and hot water tanks.

The restaurant and bar serves both resort guests and outside visitors.

Being midway up the Placencia peninsula, we have a more remote feel to the Resort. However, new development continues moving our way. Increasingly, we see more people staying at the Resort that are building homes in the area and new commercial properties (e.g., grocery store, furniture store, bowling alley) are now in the Maya Beach area.

Access to the property is by way of a feeder road from the southern highway, which leads to Placencia Village. The site improvements include a sand surface parking, footpaths to and from the cabanas, outdoor light and security lights, and landscaping. There are underground electrical, septic and gas lines.
